System Identification and Control through Efficient SVA Based Regressor Computation

چکیده
This paper demonstrates simultaneous identification and control of the humanoid robot, Valkyrie, utilizing Spatial Vector Algebra (SVA). In particular, the inertia, Corioliscentrifugal and gravity terms for the dynamics of a robot are computed using spatial inertia tensors. With the assumption that the link lengths or the distance between the joint axes are accurately known, it will be shown that inertial properties of a robot can be directly evaluated from the inertia tensor. An algorithm is proposed to evaluate the regressor, yielding a run time of O(n). The efficiency of this algorithm yields a means for online system identification via the SVA–based regressor and, as a byproduct, a method for accurate modelbased control. Experimental validation of the proposed method is provided through its implementation in three case studies: offline identification of a double pendulum and a 4-DOF robotic leg, and online identification and control of a 4-DOF robotic arm.

In this paper, an efficient method is presented to control the attitude of a satellite with ON-OFF actuator. The main objective of this novel method is to control the amplitude of the limit cycle which commonly appears in the steady state of such systems; and at the same time by consideration of real actuator constraints, reduce the fuel consumption of system. The Proposed method is a combinati...
متن کاملOn using least-squares updates without regressor filtering in identification and adaptive control of nonlinear systems
In continuous-time system identification and adaptive control the least-squares parameter estimation algorithm has always been usedwith regressor filtering, which adds to the dynamic order of the identifier and affects its performance. We present an approach for designing a least-squares estimator that uses an unfiltered regressor. We also consider a problem of adaptive nonlinear control and pr...

This paper investigate the possibility and effectiveness of multi-mode vibration control of a plate through real-time FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) implementation. This type of embedded system offers true parallel and high throughput computation abilities. The control object is an aluminum panel, clamped to a Perspex box’s upper side. Two types of control laws are studied. The first belo...
